Sporting Schools Funding !!!

Nyngan Public School received funding in Term 2 from Sporting Schools to run Athletics Coaching over four weeks.

"Sporting Schools is a $200 million Australian Government initiative designed to help schools to inrease children's participation in sport and to connect them with community sporting opportunities.  Sporting Schools programs are provided free to children and their families to help students build the confidence and capability to be active for life" {Reference from Sporting Schools website}

With the funding NPS obtained the services of Jason Chatfield from X-Cellerate Athletics Coaching in Dubbo.  Over the 4 weeks students spent an hour a week learning drills and basic skills for throws, sprints, relays and jumping.

The students have had a fun time learning more about athletics in the lead up to the school Athletics Carnival in Term 3
